Rezztek

Rezztek® is a hockey technology brand co-owned by NHL captain Zdeno Chára, built to give players better puck control and faster, more accurate shots. To break into the international hockey market - and especially the US - the brand needed a name and identity strong enough to function inside and beyond the NHL. GoBIGNAME coined the name Rezztek®, combining 'resin', part of the core material, with the capital Z from Chára's nickname 'Big Z'. The name promotes, semantically and visually, the joining of two Zs into a unique, ownable symbol. Customised graphic labelling and the reference to Chára help Rezztek sell to performance-driven players, while the visual system was built to capture the international hockey market. The brand worked: Rezztek became an officially licensed NHL product in 2023 and a license provider for global sports brand HEAD.
