SignalFisher

Naming, brand identity, and mascot design for a Swiss cybersecurity platform.

Test

SignalFisher is a continuous, AI-powered security platform backed by 16,000+ ethical hackers. The company needed a new name and identity to match what it had become.

GoBIGNAME created SignalFisher. The name is built from two ideas. A signal is a vulnerability, an anomaly, a risk hidden inside a network. A fisher is what finds it. The reference is the kingfisher, a bird that hunts by reading signals beneath the surface of water, detecting movement invisible to others, and striking with precision. SignalFisher describes exactly what the company does: it watches, detects, and acts. The name moved the brand away from the language of hacking and toward the language of intelligence.

The brand symbol is the kingfisher's eye, a tapered form with two slightly pointed ends. It represents an eye that watches over a company's digital infrastructure. It serves as both the mark in the wordmark and the literal eye of the bird mascot, but it doesn't stop there. The same shape is used as a brand device across all applications, from icon containers to layout elements to advertising. One shape connects the logo, the mascot, and the entire visual system.
