Forbes's "Made in Slovakia" special edition cover was aiming for an attractive handwriting font.
Roman capitals as the visual cover solution’s main building element
The visual solution to the inscription "Made in Slovakia" is based on Roman Capitals Font. Both the tilted form of the whole font and vertical disruptions, alongside a combination of letter links, ensure a cover whose appearance is original.
Visual power of calligraphy emphasising the manuscript and tense structure
The calligraphic character of the envelope communicates the inexhaustible power of handwritten fonts, with an emphasis on the manuscript and the structure of the stroke. The compositional solution for calligraphic expression respects how the individual elements are distributed, including the envelope’s dominant background.
In the case of the Slovak version, the strong name "Made in Slovakia" makes it unnecessary to use the national tricolor. However, the use of the national tricolor would be required in foreign versions of the envelope.
